I'm a bit slow getting the Christmas videos posted but here they are! The first one is of Caden playing with Abby's Christmas present. It cracks me up that he all of a sudden he is more interested in all of the toys we have pulled out for Abby than he is about his own new toys! The second video is of Caden opening is present from Grandma on the plane (Becky) and
Grandpa in the yellow truck (David).

Here is a little video of Caden with his Christmas present. He is talking so fast that I have no idea what he is saying, plus lately it seems as if he has started his own little language that I as the parent am not suppose to understand!

Monkeys!!!

Aunt Nomi sent Caden a barrel of monkeys for Christmas which he thought was really cool. He actually unwrapped them on Christmas Eve when Eli and I were in the other room. Anyway he ran around the house with the barrel tucked under his arm like a football! We are wondering where he managed to get all that energy!

So I really wanted to do some family Christmas pictures, but each time we have taken a family picture it hasn't turned out that great. So I thought I would just do some pictures of the kids...that was a bad idea. Caden wouldn't hold still and Abby who is always smiling just couldn't seem to come up with any smiles. Anyway this are the only ones that even kinda turned out.

Long Time

Well I have been a bit of a slacker with the blog lately. My sister-in-law Naomi called begging for new pictures this morning so here you go...

Our little Abby. It's hard to believe that she is already 4 months old. She is such a happy baby and always has a smile on her face. She is also quite entertained by her big brother. Yesterday Caden was playing by Abby and she just kept giggling. It was so cute!

We went to Temple Square to see the lights last weekend with some friends. Caden wasn't really in the picture mood as you can see.

Eli goes to Chile!

Last week was so crazy. We had Abby's blessing, then took Amy to the MTC on Wednesday and then we dropped Eli off at the airport on Friday! Eli is spending 2 weeks in Santiago, Chile for work. He was so excited to be going back to his mission. He was able to visit some people on Saturday and Sunday and promised that he took lots of pictures. He has the camera so I probably won't be posting much while he is gone...since I have no camera!

On Her Way...Finally!

My sweet sister finally made it to the MTC. Amy got her mission call almost a year ago to the Roseville California mission. She had taken a fall shortly before she got her call but thought her foot would be better by the time she would leave in Febuary. Then in January she found out that she had broken the arch in her foot and that would require surgery. She received a 6 month extension and we waited for her to recover. Then in June, she went back to the surgeon because her foot was still giving her quite the trouble and he suggested that they remove the screws in her foot, which required another (minor) surgery. Then 2 weeks ago we found out that she would finally be able to enter the MTC. Amy has been such a trooper through it all. I am so excited for her to finally start her mission, even though we are going to miss her ALOT! After we dropped her off my Mom and I wanted to check out a craft place in Salt Lake. When we met my Mom at the door, Caden said, "Amy, where are you??" I got teary eyed right away. Caden sure loves his Aunt Amy.

Blessing Day

We had a wonderful day yesterday, we had Abby's baby blessing. Abby was blessed by Eli and the circle included just about all of our family. It was a beautiful moment to watch my baby girl be given a special blessing from our Heavenly Father and to be surrounded by the protective circle of the Priesthood. I was so worried that she would be crying but she did great. My mom made Abby's dress and everyone said how beautiful it was...thanks mom! We had a little get together afterward with both sides our family. Eli and I were both very touched by the effort that everyone made to come be with us on this special day. Thank You!!! We love you all so much. Here a few pictures that my sister took. I will try to post a few more when I get them from her since I didn't manage to get one single picture with my camera!!!

I need a nap!!!

So since Abby has joined the family, Caden has decided that he doesn't need to take naps anymore! Lucky me! He might think he doesn't need the naps but from the pictures below I think we can all agree that he really needs naps still.

For family night we went to the pumpkin patch and Caden fell asleep in the car on the way. Needless to say he was not a happy camper when we pulled him out of the car. He pretty much cried and kept his ears covered the whole time. I guess that's what family memories are all about!

Weekend at Grandma Nancy's House

Last Saturday we went out to Tooele to visit Eli's Grandma Nancy, Grandpa John and Great Grandma Rimington. It was a beautiful day and we had a great time. Abby and Caden are 5th generation on Eli's mom side, so were able to spend some time with their Great, Great Grandma Rimington!

Tying a Tie

Eli gave Caden one of his ties last Sunday and got this cute video of Caden trying to figure out how to put the tie on. There isn't any sound, but it's still cute to watch how hard he is trying.

Lots of Smiles!

Well it's hard to believe another week is almost over. Eli started a new job a few weeks back working for the LDS Church Audit Dept., it has been really nice to get to see him more since he is usually home around 6 pm instead of 9 pm. Anyway he found out on Monday that he has been assigned to the team that is going to Chile for 2 weeks in November! He is really excited to that he will be going back to the area where he served his mission. Caden, Abby and I will miss him a ton, but we are really, really excited for him!!!

We had our carpets cleaned on Wednesday so I gave Caden a bag of snacks to keep him busy in the kitchen and off the carpet. Well as soon as the carpet guy turned on the cleaner Caden headed for the laundry room. I found him sitting in the corner, I think it was just to loud for him!

I just had to post these cute pictures of Abby. This is the first time I have managed to get the camera in time to catch her smiles. Isn't she cute!!!

So we are still having a hard time getting Caden to leave Abby's things alone (i.e. the bouncer, swing and the baby bathtub.) So I walked out in the living room the other morning and found Caden sitting in the baby bath watching a show. I am glad that I had the camera handy for this one!

Abby is only 6 weeks old and I think she is already sick of me sticking the camera in her face. Eli has informed me that he actually likes the big bows and flowers on her headband so I am sure you will me seeing many more of them in the future!

This is Caden's idea of helping with the laundry. Basically it consists of Caden throwing the clothes out of the laundry baskets.

Eli took Caden to the Circus last weekend. They got to meet the clowns and the got their very own red clown noses to take home.

So apparently the Circus is a pretty loud production and Caden didn't think the music and fireworks were very cool...to loud for him.

Caden did like the elephants and the tigers. Before the show Eli and Caden were able to watch the elephants do some artwork. They have a drawing were you can win the "elephant artwork", which I think basically looks like smeared paint. Anyway Eli and Caden won the elephant art.

So Eli and I finally upgraded to high speed internet! Posting pictures is so much faster that we will probably be able to post a few more pictures now! Anyway I just wanted to post a few more pictures of my cute kids.

Air Show

Eli and Caden went to the Wendover Air Show last weekend and had a great time. Eli said that Caden really liked being able to climb in and explore the airplanes...but didn't like some of the loud planes when they were flying by.
