Riding the Trains

Caden is really, really into trains. Eli took him up to the Ogden Train station where they walked around and looked at some of the trains that they have outside. They have a steam locomotive train that Eli said was huge and that Caden said, "this is an awesome train." Then they hoped on the Frontrunner train and took into Salt Lake. Once they were in town the also got to ride on Trax. Let's just say I think that if Caden could have one wish today would have been it!

A Day with Dad

Caden and Eli spent the whole day riding the trains and hanging out in Salt Lake today. Here are a few of the highlights.

Hair, Hair, Hair

Caden got his hair cut yesterday and this is his cheesy pose. He looks so much older after his haircuts!

Eli gave the kids a bath tonight and decided to give Abby a mohawk hairdo! Its hard to tell but I thought it was pretty funny.

I looked out the Window...

So this morning I was up feeding Abby around 3 am and before I climbed back in bed I looked out the window and noticed that it had been snowing. Well now it is 3 pm and I don't think that it has stopped snowing for the past 12 hours! The snow plows have already been once not to long ago but I guess that there is probably another 6-8 inches since they left! Call me crazy but with cars getting stuck going out of the driveway I think we might just stay in!

People were getting stuck on the road out front and someone showed up with a bobcat and started plowing the road since it hasn't been plowed all day!

My name is Trouble a.k.a. Caden

So lately Caden seems to be getting into trouble...alot! Most of this trouble happens while I am feeding Abby. I usually have to take her is a different room to feed her since she has trouble eating when Caden is jumping around the room. Anyway this morning while I was feeding Abby, Caden managed to sneak into the bathroom leave with a whole roll of toilet paper and then unroll it all over the front room! I understand that his Dad had a bit of a thing for toilet paper too!!!

So the other day I made cookies for the Activity Days Girls to decorate for our activity. I told Caden that he could have 1 cookie and that was it. When I came back into the room, he was "hiding" under the chair that he had moved over from the dining room eating cookie #2.

So last weekend we resorted to bribing to try and get Caden on the potty. Well it worked...this time anyway. He actually used the potty so he got a new plane for his GeoTrax. (I just have to say what a great find...on clearance at Walmart for $7!)

So this picture was taken way back in Dec 2005 when Caden had only been home from the hospital for about 2 weeks and only weighted 3 lbs 14 ozs. Mind you since he was 3 months early technically he shouldn't have even been born yet. It's actually pretty funny that I would look back at this picture today. This morning I thought I would take him to storytime down at the local Barnes and Noble. I figured he loves books at home and this gives a chance to get out...what was I thinking??? Le's just say that my tiny little preemie from the about picture is now a VERY, VERY active 3 year old!!!

So I just have to show off a few pics of the kids. Abby is really into slobbering and sticking out her tongue and she loves to smile!

We went to visit my parents while Eli was in Peru and Abby fell asleep on the floor with my Dad.

So the last day before Eli came home, when I felt like I had reached the point where I couldn't take anymore. Caden decides to sneak in the fridge and empty the baking soda all over the floor. this pic is of him throwing it in the air and then saying, "Mom look, it raining!"

Caden's curls are getting so long...somebody needs a haircut.

We love to Play

While Eli was on his latest trip to Lima, Peru me and the kids spent a couple of days at my parents house. My parents have a dog named Max who thankfully is a very mellow dog and quite frankly puts up with alot when it comes to Caden. Anyway on our last day in Logan, Caden got into a package my Mom was putting together to send to my sister Amy. The package had some body washes that she picked up from Bath and Bady Works. I was upstairs with Abby and when I came down I found the bottles on the floor, but it didn't look like they had been spilled anywhere. Well long story short we discovered shortly there after that Caden had poured some of each bottle on poor Max! I guess you could say he smells really good now!!! Anyway this video was cute because Caden has been pretending that he is a dog lately.
