Magic

Eli was showing Caden a few magic tricks with some coins the other day. Caden was totally entertained. He just couldn't seem to figure out where the coins kept going.

"Did that coin just come out of my arm???"

Fun in the Sun

Caden's favorite place to play is at Grandpa's house. Hey what's not to love...there is water, a yard, a tramp, and of course Max the dog. The pictures are a bit out of order. Oh well.

Bear Lake

We spent last weekend up at Bear Lake with my family. Caden loved playing at the beach. The water was really shallow around the end of the lake so he could get pretty far out and still be standing up, plus the water was pretty warm! Caden's cousin Rusty was there and the two of them had fun playing in the sand and the water. The place we stayed at was having problems with the hot water (long story) so we didn't really want to shower after the beach. I called the KOA to see about using their showers and was told it would cost $10. At first I thought that was crazy, but then my desire to be clean was so strong that I actually had Eli drive me down and yes I paid $10 for a shower!!! Hey give me a break-I am 8 months pregnant!!! The guys decided to take cold showers at the cabin! Eli said that he was totally numb by the end of his shower, but they were really brave! Way to go, guys! All in all it was a great weekend. Here are just a few pics from the beach.

Feeding the Ducks

We took Caden up to the park to feed the ducks the other night. Talk about no fear...he just ran right up to the ducks and starting asking for some bread to feed them. He was so brave and let the ducks eat right out of his hands!

Park and the Splash Pad

We took Caden to this fun new park in South Ogden. Caden loved playing at the park and also in the water. It doesn't seem to matter how hot it gets outside he always is asking to go to the park. He really loves to play!

Popsicle Sticks

So I have to tell a funny story on Eli. Eli and I have been teaching the 8 and 9 year old in Primary this year. Eli has had a hard time remembering all the words to the Primary songs, so since we have a Primary hymn book he usually tries to use that so that he can sing along. Well last Sunday during singing time the music lady was having the kids pick different ways to sing the songs. One of the ways was with popsicle sticks, which just meant that she had put pictures of different ways to sing on the sticka...humming, teachers only, everybody singing. Anyway as soon as she said popsicle sticks, Eli grabed the hymn book and starting looking for a song named popsicle sticks. I had to lean over and explain that that wasn't a name of a song. Then I jokingly asked him if he hadn't gone to Primary as a kid and he responded that he had, he just had spent more time in the hall then in class!!!

A Day at the Zoo

Last week we took Caden to the zoo for the day...well not really the whole day since I only managed to last a couple of hours! Being pregnant in the summer with the heat is turning out to be a bit more difficult than I thought it was going to be. Having said that I am willing to suffer through the heat for a full term baby this time around! Anyway we thought that Caden would be a bit more interested in the animals but he was really only interested in the monkey's and the elephants. Oh well, it was still fun to spend the day together as a family!
